James H. Miller, Jr., MD

Dr. Miller, like so many of his SERA colleagues, is comfortable rendering eye care to his fellow Tennesseans. He earned his undergraduate degree with highest honors at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1981, and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville in 1985. He moved back to Knoxville for an internship at UT Medical Center, and then to Gainesville, Florida, to serve a residency at the University of Florida. Morgantown, West Virginia, was Dr. Miller’s next training ground, where, in 1989, he held a fellowship in retina/vitreous at West Virginia University Health Sciences Center.

Next stop, home again. He began his professional practice with Southeastern Retina Associates in Knoxville in 1990.
