Pre-Surgery Instructions: Smoking

Try not to smoke before your surgery. Smoking irritates the lungs and can cause mucus build up. The less you smoke before your surgery, the better your chances for less congestion afterwards. Lung congestion can contribute to the development of pneumonia.

Smoking is prohibited in the TVEC Building.
