Preparing for Eye Surgery

Feeling a little nervous about your surgery? These feelings are normal, especially if you do not know what to expect. Pre-Admission for Surgery
You will need a pre-admission visit if you have had any change in your medications and/or a change in your medical condition in the last 3 months. Also your doctor or the anesthesiologist may order other tests that are essential for your surgery, such as an EKG or blood test. All patients receiving general anesthesia must schedule a pre-admission visit. Bring to pre-admission: Copies of health records, medication list and dosage, allergy list, insurance information and cards.
